Ich liebe Munchen

Munich is my favorite European city so far.  Valentines Day was fantastic!  We wandered around and found our way to the Marienplatz, the town square, which has the fancy glockenspiel people that dance on the hour.  It was crowded, but the Germans are polite and entertaining people.

Why doesn't our town hall have a dragon?

We located a brat stand (not hard to find- there are quite a few)

Then we went to St. Peter's Church, the Las Vegas of European churches...it's bling, and it has a killer organ.

Even the martyr bones were bejeweled.

Isaac's primary goal of the day was to find someone who looks like his dad, I guess to prove that his lineage is really German.  I am quite certain we spotted his doppelgänger at the Marianplatz, and Isaac is satisfied. My job was to stand in front of the poor innocent bystanders who just happened to look like his dad while he snapped a picture of them, making it look like he was taking pictures of me.  None of the pictures turned out great, so I guess neither of us is cut out for detective work.

We purchased what I am sure will be a family heirloom someday.

Finally, I enjoyed a romantic dinner (and some German chocolates) with my Valentine.
