Eiffel Tower

We went to the top of the Eiffel Tower today.  Just typing that gives me a chill as I think of the arctic wind that nearly blew me over while I was trying to take pictures up there.

It really is a beautiful structure.

After we were cattle herded into an elevator, we were taken to the first floor.  I received a tip to buy the 5pm elevator tickets so that we could catch the sunset, and I am so glad we did!

Then, we made it all the way to the top.  It's a beautiful view, and there are no other buildings that even come close to the height of the Eiffel Tower.  It was a bit hazy, but we had a perfect view of Paris and all of its cream colored buildings.

They lit the tower for us just as we were leaving!
